Welcome to the week of Thanksgiving and Chanukah! This will be one of rarest moments of history!!!! Thanksgiving falling on Chanukah...or Chanukah falling on Thanksgiving, however you see it, this is historical. Thanksgiving symbolizes the peace between the Wampanoag Indians and the Puritans and Pilgrims who settled in Cape Cod in 1620. This peaceful feast celebrated the harvest and the joint efforts of working together to survive the elements of New England. Though this holiday is often celebrated, there is no doubt the result of the Thanksgiving peace was not permanent, for Indian and settler resistance would follow in the years to come. May you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving and Chanukah!
