Week of October 17-19

We are reading the Constitution in class: 
All VII Articles and XXVII Amendments. 

We will be reading the first few Articles of the Constitution and examining why/how they are set up.  We are looking at the Legislative Branch (Art. I) and the Executive Branch (Art. II), the requirements to hold office, term lengths, and powers vested in each branch.  Our Civics unit will cover a great deal of in depth discussion of the Constitution, civil liberties, civil rights and responsibilities. 

HW:  Due November 1 (all classes)  What is government?  (writing assignment)  Please answer at least THREE questions from the handout in class.
