Week of October 10-12

We have a short week with three days.  We follow a Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday schedule this week and each class meets twice. 

***Remember the Revolutionary War Essay is due Wednesday for all classes***

Day 1:  Finish the Revolutionary War and discuss how the paper should be constructed.  We move into our next unit:  Creating the Constitution!  We're looking at the decade between the signing of the Declaration of Independence and the writing of the Constitituion in 1787.  Our unit will include the reading of the Constitution and it's role in our everyday life. 
HW:  Work on the Revolutionary War Essay due Wednesday, October 12!
**Finish the Chapter 8 Packet by Day 2 -- It WILL be turned in and graded as an HW grade!**

Day 2:   Turn in and go over the Chapter 8 Packet .... What is government?  -- Constitution Unit begins!  In this unit we will learn the following:
-All seven Articles
-All twenty-seven Amendments
-Checks & Balances System
-How a Bill becomes a Law!
-What is the purpose of government?
-How the Electoral College works
-Different types of government
-How people get involved in politics and the government
-What are political parties? What are their differences?
HW:  None!
