IT'S ANDREW JACKSON TIME!!!

This week, we'll be learning about the most controversial president in American history.  We're learning about Andrew Jackson.  He was the first president since George Washington to have such a tremendous impact on the United States, both before and while serving as president.  He is the only president to have an entire era named after him.  He fought Native Americans, Congress, the National Bank, even his own Cabinet.  He was a gambler, a duelist, a drinker, a backwoods brawler, a member of the House of Representatives, a Governor of the Florida Territory, and a violent man...No one could have imagined that in 1828, the nation would elect its first "Common Man" president...
