Week of March 21-25

The Native American West: 1865--1900

The Gilded Age built America and the Progressive Era reformed America, but while the nation was busy constructing, moving, and changing the landscape of the cities, the West was being tamed...  This week, we'll examine the lives of the Sioux, Nez Perce, and other tribes affected by the second wave of westward expansion...



Day 1
In Class:  Native American West Packet and exploring the history of the Native American West 1865-1900: The West Packet  -- You are to answer the question in the packet looking at the images, reading the quotes, and examining primary sources from this period...We will go over the packets on Day 3 this week...
HW:  Presidential Projects due FRIDAY:  Hayes, Garfield, Arthur, Cleveland, Harrison, and McKinley...
Notes:  National Parks Project due April 4...

Day 2
