Week of Oct. 6-10

Weeks of October 6--10 

Hey gang!  We have a few short weeks ahead of us with "A" days  this week that will ensure we'll see each other every day!  Yay!  The Second Continental Congress is over, the United States is now officially "declared" a new nation, but now it is time to FIGHT for the land the colonists declared the United States.  We will briefly look at the Revolutionary War, the Articles of Confederation, and then dive into one of my favorite units of the year: Civics and the Constitution!!!!!


Week of October 6--10

Day 1
In class:  We're going to examine the actual Declaration of Independence and then dive into a BrainPop video on the Revolutionary War (davisacad and student are login/password): BrainPop : Revolutionary War ... With the remaining time in class, please read the document here  and answer the questions in this Google Form: Rev. War Google Form Due MONDAY OCTOBER 13!!!  Revolutionary War Chapter Reading for Google Form 
HW: Watch the video podcast below on the Revolutionary War and be ready to discuss the War in class tomorrow!

Day 2
In class:  Discussion of the Revolutionary War: Who fought, how it was fought, how to win the war, where the war was fought, and the major events of the war.  With the remaining time in class, please read the document here  and answer the questions in this Google Form: Rev. HW: Watch the following video podcast on the Articles of Confederation and be ready to discuss how the problems with the Articles and introduce the Constitution!!!
