Week of Dec. 9-13

Hey Gang!  We are two weeks away from our Midterm and Winter Break...BUT, we still have a lot do cover!  We've wandered west into Manifest Destiny, and we are continuing to push west.  This week, we'll look at those who moved west, why they moved west, how they moved west, and what the nation did between 18301--1850.

In Class:  Short quiz on Monroe--Tyler --  Work day for you on the Andrew Jackson paper and/or presidential projects.  You should have plenty to be working on!

Day 3
In Class:  James K. Polk! -- The California Gold Rush -- Polk's four goals, how he accomplished his goals as president, and how the nation experienced a communication and transportation revolution in the mid 19th century!

Day 4
In Class:  Turn in MVB, WHH, and JT --- Finish Westward Expansion and look at the 1840s "An Age of Reform"...Education, Women's Rights, Abolitionism, and the rights of the imprisoned are examined here...
