Week of Sept. 23--27

Week THREE of the American Revolution!  Violence has erupted in the colonies...In Boston, there was a Massacre.  In 1773, we saw a T-Partea!  Now, the Parliament responds with Intolerable Acts, which makes the colonists think they should politically organize...We have a short week of three classes, so we've got a lot of work ahead of us. Huzzah!

Day 1
In Class:  First Continental Congress discussion ... Watching HBO's John Adams to see how the Congress debated... Discussion of the Second Continental Congress.  What were the delegates DOING at the Congresses?

In Class:  Paul Revere's Midnight Ride -- HE WAS NOT ALONE!!! -- "The Redcoats are out, mount your arms!" ... The Shot Heard Round the World -- was the start of the Revolution!!!
