Battle of Gettysburg!

These videos will be watched in class on Monday, March 4, 2013...

The Battle of Gettysburg was the turning point of the Civil War...Robert E. Lee did NOT have to invade the Union in September 1862, but he did...and Lee lost (at Antietam).  Lee thought he could end the war AGAIN by invading the Union.  From January to July 1863, the war was a lull...There were a few victories by the Union and a few by the Confederacy, but no side had taken the advantage...Lee thought he could win it for the Confederacy....Below is a video about the Battle of Gettysburg which lasted three days from July 1--3, 1863...The Battle of Gettysburg would be the BLOODIEST BATTLE OF THE CIVIL WAR with 53,000+ casualties.
