In Class: World War II -- America: The Story of US "World War II" -- This episode is just too darn good NOT to show! America's mobilization, depression ends, women work, men enlist, BOOM BOOM BOOOOOMING economy!

Wednesday, April 6 (anniversary of US entering World War Won)
In Class: Finish America: The Story of Us "World War II" episode -- Discussion of the war thus far -- European front first, Pacific second, how to fight the war in Europe, bombing, raids, tanks, etc..

In Class: The Manhattan Project -- Truman's Atomic Bombs on Hiroshima, Nagasaki, and the NEW age of War...World War II ends...A Cold War is upon us

Notes: I will be in Washington, D.C. the following week for the 7th grade trip. You will cover the following: America in the Cold War, Containment, The Berlin Crisis & Airlift, Korean War, Communism in SE Asia: Vietnam, Civil Rights after WWII, another Roaring decade (1950s), and Kennedy's New Frontier!

I will bring my laptop with me on the trip and will try to BLOG the days as we go so you can see what we do that day in DC and think about what we've learned throughout the year! I will not write next week's schedule on the blog for you will receive a certain amount of work and will watch a few flicks. PLEASE remember the FDR Presidential Project is due Friday, April 15!!
