Fave Five Project & Test on MONDAY, May 2 info

Students,

Oh how I've missed you 8th graders. We had a great time in DC, I took plenty of pictures (which I will show you in class the week of finals), and I know you had PLENTY of work...

The week I was out you worked on the following...

-The Cold War problems between the Soviet Union and United States and the space race!
-Civil Rights Movement in the South
-Vietnam War -- LBJ's problem :(
-"New Frontier & Great Society" Programs for the nation by JFK & LBJ respectively...
-You watched the movie "America: The Story of Us SuperPower" where it looked at the United States from 1945--1975

...We will review that information on Wednesday and Thursday when we return from break -- specifically Cold War/Civil Rights/Vietnam

Your test on MONDAY, May 2 will cover the following: Great Depression, World War II, Cold War, Civil Rights, & Vietnam..it will have ten terms (people/places/things) and you must select FIVE to write 4-5 sentences about. You will explain the importance of these terms and how they MADE HISTORY... Each term is worth 20 pts = 100 pt test

FAVE FIVE: You may turn in your Fave Five projects in EARLY on Thursday, April 28 for an EXTRA 5 pts added to the final grade.

Please check NetClassroom for I am constantly updating grades and entering assignments daily. I will inform you when we return to school what IS and IS NOT entered in the gradebook...

If you have any questions, please e-mail me, and Happy Passover! Be Good!
