 American Revolution Continues!....Busy week, FYI

The Q's below are a HW grade due Monday, Sept. 19 in your notebooks!

  1. Answer the following Q’s in your notebook…These Q’s are due Monday for a HW grade.  We’re going over these Q’s on Monday…Also..Watch the Second Cont. Congress video I put on the blog :)  


    1. Why is Sam Adams referred to as the “Moses of the American Revolution?”

    2. The Townshend Acts were smaller taxes on many goods.  What goods were taxed?  Do you think the colonists were frustrated with these taxes even though they were lower taxes than the Stamp Act?

    3. What were “writs of assistance” 

    4. After reading about the Boston Massacre of 1770, was the Massacre an actual “massacre?”.  

    5. After looking at the Boston Massacre image – in the Doc – is this, painted by Paul Revere, an accurate drawing of the Boston Massacre?

    12. What colonies were disappointed in the actions by the New England colonists?  Why do you think they felt this way?

    14. We’ve all heard of, “The British are coming!”  Well, after reading about Paul Revere & William Dawes’ ride, why were they going to Lexington & Concord?
