Hey Gang!  I am not here for Block 1 as you can see...Here is what y'all will be doing in my absence.


1. Watch the video below...




2.  Go over questions and answers from yesterday about the Era of Reform...
3. Read the section of the "Era of Reform" Doc aloud as a class that is labeled Women's Rights and answer these questions while reading... Era of Reform Doc

  • Why do you think the women at the Seneca Falls convention chose to write a Declaration of Sentiments?  Do you even know what a sentiment is? Look it up!
  • Why do you think they chose the following to open their document? “We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men and women are created equal; that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights…
  • The temperance movement was an attempt to rid the nation of alcohol...Why?
