Welcome to the 2016 Election Unit!!!...Huzzah!

Hey Gang!  Welcome to week 7 (Oct. 5-7) in the school year and the first week of our Election 2016 Unit!  Huzzah!  Over the next coming weeks, we'll watch some footage from the news, read articles about the candidates, and learn about the different party platforms... 


Day 1
In Class:  Introduce the 2016 Election and discuss the history of the presidential election...Who are the candidates?  Who are the VP candidates?  What are the issues?
HW:  Donkeys v. Elephants Google Form due Oct. 6 by 8 AM -- Issues Google Form due by Oct. 7 8 AM
Notes:  Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 8...Huzzah!

Day 2
In Class:  What issues are important to YOU?  What do the candidates believe on these issues?  
HW:  Donkeys v. Elephants Google Form due Oct. 6 by 8 AM -- Issues Google Form due by Oct. 7 8 AM
Notes:  Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 8...Huzzah!

Day 3
In Class:  What is a Democrat?  What is a Republican? Why do we only have TWO parties?...What's the deal?? Who are these candidates anyways???
HW:  Answer the following questions in this Google Form -- Due by Monday, Oct. 10--  Who's Who in 2016?
