Week of Sept 21-25, 2015

Delegates!  Welcome to the week of the Second Continental Congress!  Huzzah!  We have quite the agenda on our hands as we meet in Philadelphia to discuss the actions of Great Britain, the colonies, and ourselves!  As we discuss these actions, I can smell independence brewing in the air...and it smells delightful...

Day 1
In Class: Turn in delegate template and History Channel's magazine cover!  Watch HBO's John Adams DVD to see the actions of the Second Cont. Congress meeting.  Discuss the agenda for the Second Cont. Congress on Thursday
HW:  Prepare for the Second Cont. Congress -- Get your costume ready for Thursday!  Come to school dressed up in your costume on Thursday!
Notes:  American Revolution Paper due Oct. 7-- We will go over this paper on Friday and Next Week!!!

Day 2 -- Second Continental Congress!!!  Huzzah!!! Come with signs, flags, posters, and dressed as your delegate on Thursday.  We meet at 10:00 sharp for our Continental Breakfast in the Cafeteria then we head to Independence Hall from 10:30--3:00 for our re-enactment!!!

Day 3
In Class:  So we've declared independence...Now, what does it mean?  Analyze the Declaration of Independence and then look at the American Revolution paper.
HW: None!
