Week of Sept. 15--19

Hey Gang!  BIG week this week as we continue our studies of the American Revolution, BUT we are also SOOOOOO lucky that Constitution Day is this week!!!!! #Huzzah!  On Wednesday/Thursday Day 3 lessons, we have a fun little lesson planned that will celebrate the US Constitution's Birthday!  Who doesn't want to celebrate someone's 227th birthday?


Below is a brief summary of what we discussed the other day in class...Stamp Act, Townshend Acts, Boston Massacre...



Day 1
In Class: Review the Boston T-Partea, Intolerable Acts, then we dive into the First Cont. Congress...

Day 2
In Class:  First Cont. Congress information...John Adams DVD to understand what the Congress was and what the delegates did at the Congress

Day 3 -- CONSTITUTION DAY! HAPPY BIRTHDAY US CONSTITUTION!!!!! 227 Years old and fabulous!!!

Day 4
In Class:  First Continental Congress discussion...Review some of the reasons why the Congress met...Begin discussing Second Cont. Congress information and Battles of Lexington and Concord which start the Revolutionary War!

Next week we will begin looking at our Second Cont. Congress delegate information, learning how to write the American Revolution paper and gear up for the Second Cont. Congress Re-enactment! Huzzah my fellow Colonists!!!
