Week of Feb. 13 - 17

Hey Baby Birds!  We had a great week of research in the Library last week for the paper.  Do not forget you need to turn in 20 information cards plus 3 source cards on Feb. 24 (all classes).  This week, we continue the Civil War Unit and get into some fun times during the bloodiest war in American history.

Day 1:  1861-1862, The Anaconda Plan, Life as a soldier in the Civil War...and Medical Technology (or lack thereof!)
HW:  Road to Civil War Essay due Thursday Feb. 16 (all classes) Extra Credit Current Event due Wednesday (all classes).  Note Cards due Feb. 24 (all classes) Presidential Projects - James Buchanan & Abraham Lincoln due Feb. 27 (all classes).

Day 2:  1862 The Year of Blood...Ironclads, Antietam, the Emancipation Proclamation
