Week of November 28-December 2

The Home Stretch is near Baby Birds!  The first half of the school year is almost over and we are rocking and rolling along!  Once again, you will have a midterm on December 16.  It will be cumulative and I will distribute a study guide sheet by December 7 the absolute latest. 

Day 1:  Learning how to make a Presidential Project!  (Media-Escape room)  We'll read about Thomas Jefferson, the Lewis & Clark Expedition,
HW:  George Washington & John Adams Presidential Projects due December 5.  Test on Washington, Adams, and Jefferson on December 9

Day 2:  Foreign Policy problems for Jefferson, the election of James Madison which = War of 1812.  The War of 1812 aka "Mr. Madison's War" with Great Britain.  This war is considered America's Second War for Independence... (The Presidents DVD:  Thomas Jefferson)

Day 3:  Mr. Madison's War and the election of 1816:  An Era of Good Feelings as they say.  How well do you know James Monroe?  A nation slowly dividing...over slavery! (The Presidents:  James Madison DVD)
