Week of November 14-18

Hey Baby Birds!  The week starts off with our awesome Government Test and will end in talking about the first few Presidents of the United States! 

Day 1:  Government Test -- Articles, Amendments, Electoral College, Political Parties...Oh my!  So much fun!
HW due: Constitutional Scenarios & Study Guide!

Day 2:  A new nation is created.  The Washington years (1789--1797) and how the young nation prospered just after the writing of the Constitution.  What did the nation look like with a new government? President?
HW:  Test on Washington through Jefferson on December 4/5!!!
Day 3:  The Washington (1789--1797) and John Adams (1797--1801) administrations.  We will compare and contrast, examine, and understand how these two presidents created the nation and set the standard for the future presidents.  One did a fantastic job...while the other was...meh...OK I guess...
**If time permits we will learn...How to make a Presidential Project**
HW:  Presidential Projects due December 4 (Washington & Adams) -- Test on Washington through Jefferson on December 4/5!!!
