Our next unit is...CIVICS! -- A BIG word for government! In this unit we will read and learn about the following:
-The Declaration of Independence
-Articles of Confederation
-United States Constitution -- ALL OF IT!
-Powers of the branches of government
-Historic Supreme Court cases
-The Electoral College -- they major in voting!
-History of the political parties!
-How to WIN an election
-Are YOU a donkey or an elephant?
-Why is slavery such a big deal to the state governments?
-How does the government work for us...or against us????
This unit will consist of an Articles of Constitution & Amendments quizzes and a two day test at the end of the entire unit. Get ready to champion the U.S. Government!
