Parental Homework

Parents,

You have a homework assignment (well not a real one, but it would be cool to do one of the followin). Students have been learning about the Civil War for the past two weeks now talking alllllllllll about how the soldiers lived, the battles, the medical practices, and the conditions of war. You might want to check out one of the following places in the near future so you can EXPERIENCE the Civil War...

-Visit the Atlanta History Center -- Check out the Civil War Exhibit -- Its GREAT!
-Visit Stone Mountain -- There are a few guys carved into it for some reason...
-Visit the Atlanta Cyclorama -- THE BATTLE OF ATLANTA and Sherman's AWESOME march!
-Watch Gone With the Wind with your children -- they might tell you a few things about the War based on what they see :)

Have a GREAT President's Day Weekend!
